Orie Edgar Livengood died on July 21 in Council Bluffs at the age of 79. He was born on April 20, 1897 in Elmo, Mo.

Mr. Livengood was raised and attended school in Pacific Junction. He was united in marriage in 1920 to Grace Hayes. The couple celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1970. Mrs. Hayes died in August 1972.

Mr. Livengood was converted and united with the Pacific Junction Holiness Church in October of 1935. He was an Ordained Minister in the Pilgrim Holiness Church and served for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Lovisa Livengood; one brother, Roy Livengood of Creston; one sister, Hazel Flynn of Council Bluffs; one granddaughter, Marcia Mantz; three great-grandchidlren, Staci, Donnie and Ronnie Fields.

Funeral services were held on July 23 and were conducted by The Rev. George Durkee. Interment was held at the Silver City Cemetery. The Raynor, Lett and Kent Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Flower bearers were Mrs. Cletis Haynie, Mrs. Clarence Severn and Mrs. Bill Wilson.

Casket bearers were: Art Goodman, Cletis Haynie, Amos Jensen, Bud Madison, Clarence Severn and Bill Wilson.

Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Fields and Betty Mantz and son-in-law Richard Mantz of Council Bluffs; two sisters, Bertha Davis, Creston; Sylvia Scott, Council Bluffs; one brother, Earl Livengood, Glenwood; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
