Funeral services were held February 22 for Eunice M. Powers, 86, of Phoenix, Ariz. Rev. Timothy Warren officiated.

Mrs. Powers passed away February 20, 1989, following a short illness.

She was born June 24, 1902, in Emerson. In 1923 she married Karl S. Powers in Malvern. The couple later moved to Glenwood, where they operated the theatre for many years. In 1952 they moved to Phoenix. Mr. Powers died in 1966.

Mrs. Powers was also an active member of the Westcroft Baptist church.

She was also preceded in death by her son Darrell, who died in 1984.

Survivors include her two daughters, Eleanor R. Stimson of Erie, Ill., and Georgia L. Palmer of San Diego, Cal.; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
