DATED THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 1927The tragic death of this fine young citizen was related in Monday's Tribune.
George Antrim, son of Elias and Minnie Antrim, was born near Malvern in Mills County, April 10, 1885, and died suddenly as the results of an accident on February 13, 1927, aged 41 years, 9 months and 24 days.
His parents moved to near Randolph, Ia., when George was a few years old.
He was united in marriage with Nellie Shannon November 11, 1912. To this union four children were born---Harold, 13, Glen, 12, Anna Louise and Marvin Lucile. He leaves to mourn him his wife and the four children, his mother, three brothers and two sisters. They are William of Omaha; John of Woodward, Ia.; Alva of Randolph; Mrs. Ethel Ireland, Malvern; Mrs. A. W. Fichter, Randolph.
Mr. Antrim was a man having many friends and who admired the spirit he showed despite his financial reverses. He was much devoted to his family and especially interested in having his children given the best of school advantages.
His sudden and tragic death has brought to all who know him a great sorrow.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. J. H. Freedline, assisted by Rev. E. E. Goodrich. Music for the services was provided by Mr. and Mrs. F. V. Kemp, Mrs. George Masters and S. M. Criswell, with Mrs. Clyde Rhoads at piano. The pallbearers were his former neighbors from Malvern, Tabor and Randolph. They were Ray, Walter and Frank Hilton, Charles Kilpatrick, A. Armstrong and Will Bowers.
All of his brothers and sisters excepting brother John of Woodward were present at the funeral services. Others present were his aunt, Mrs. Evelyn Kilpatrick and daughter Ruth of Tabor.
