DATED WEDNESDAY, FEB. 20, 1985

Services were Tuesday in Glenwood for Flossie May (Chambers) Hood, 84, of Glenwood. She died Saturday in Council Bluffs following a heart attack Friday at her home.

Mrs. Hood was born on June 30, 1900 in Centertown, Mo. and had lived in Glenwood since 1926. She and her husband, John, owned and operated the Coney Island Cafe in Glenwood from 1926 to 1930. In later years she worked in the laundry department at the Glenwood State Hospital-School. she was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include a son, William of Aurora, Colo.; a brother, Clyde Chambers of Dallas; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1952.

Services were at Raynor Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Smith officiating. Music was provided by Gordon Woodrow, vocalist and Ardis Dusenberry, organist. Casket bearers were Bill, David and Robin Hood, Don Bacon, Ken Chucalate and Larry Chambers. Interment was at Glenwood Cemetery.
