Funeral services were held in the Pacific Junction Holiness church on Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Dave Epperson, 75, well known Pacific Junction woman who passed away Friday. Elder Frank McDonald of Council Bluffs was in charge of the services and was assisted by Rev. George Durkee of the Pacific Junction church. Music for the service was furnished by Mrs. John Garner and Mrs. Charles Puttman, with Mrs. W. T. Spanswick at the piano.

Flowers were cared for by Mrs. W. D. Harris and Mrs. L. Raymond. Pallbearers were Archie Epperson, Artie Storey, Howard Kates, Ernest Fisher, Sam Walker and Claude Turner.

The body was laid to rest in the West Liberty cemetery.

Rose Florence Walker, daughter of Samuel C. and Charlotte Walker, was born Jan. 5, 1862, at Mercer County, Ill., and departed this life Jan. 22, 1937, at 7 p.m. at her home in Pacific Junction, Iowa, her age being 75 years, 17 days.
She was united in marriage to David Elias Epperson, Jan. 22, 1885, the date of her passing being their 52nd wedding anniversary. To this union nine children were born, five of whom preceded her in death.

Those surviving are her husband, two daughters, Nettie Anderson and Lottie Storey, both of Council Bluffs; two sons, William of Council Bluffs, and Andrew of Pacific Junction; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild by adoption. Also two sisters, Mrs. Ed Harris of Folsom, and Mrs. Julia Buckingham of Tennessee, and one brother, William Walker of Malvern. A host of friends and relatives will greatly miss the passing of this beloved mother and friend.

Words cannot express the love of this devoted mother. She was always thoughtful of those near and dear to her, many times sacrificing things of her own need in thought of others.

She was baptized into the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on May 28, 1918, at Council Bluffs.

All through her life she has tried her utmost to live up to the standards of this church.
Many times she was unable to attend this denomination, Glenwood being the nearest place, and she with her companion would attend the Holiness church in Pacific Junction, where they were also welcome.
