Lloyd Deitchler, 58, of Mineola died May 12, 2000 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital after a sudden illness. Funeral services were May 15, 2000 at St. John Lutheran Church in Mineola with burial in the Mineola Cemetery.

Mr. Deitchler was the son of Donald and Naomi Pauline Ulm Deitcher, born November 7, 1941 in Council Bluffs. He graduated from Glenwood High School in 1960. He was united in marriage to Merrilee McMahill on September 26, 1964 in Mineola. He farmed and was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Mineola, the Mineola Fire Dept., and an Oak Township trustee for many years.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Clay and his wife Suzette of Mineola, Corey of Lawrence, Kan., Kyle and Kevin, both of Mineola; brother, Ron and wife Harriett of Kansas City, Mo.; aunts and uncles, Dorothy Roenfeld of Glenwood, don and Ruth Ulm of Colorado, Jim and Virginia George of Texas, and Rolfe Stiles of Texas; sister-in-law, Kimberly Neal and her husband David of Kimballton; brother-in-law, Miles and his wife Joyce McMahill of Gretna, Neb.; nieces and nephews, Kristen Deitcher, Shannon Lang, Jennifer McMahill, Laura McMahill, Aaron Neal, Aamie Deakins, and Laci Neal; and many cousins and good friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Mineola Fire Department. Hardiman Raynor Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
