DATED SEPTEMBER 26, 1973:

Lena Fern Suhr, daughter of Chester and Imogene Andrews, was born on Aug. 24, 1893 in Malvern, Ia. Her entire life was spent in the Mills County area.

On Oct. 12, 1919, she was united in marriage to Dennis Suhr and to this union 9 children were born.

She passed away on Sept. 9 in Oakland, Iowa and was a member of the Hillsdale United Methodist Church.

Survivors are her children, Mrs. Thorne Dillon of Omaha, Mrs. Glen Robertson of Treynor, Richard Suhr of Council Bluffs, Ben Suhr of Omaha and Jack Suhr of Los Angeles, Calif., 16 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Edna Weidman of Kansas City, Mo.

Funeral services were conducted at the Hillsdale Church on Sept. 11 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Leon Wallace offiating with burial in the Glenwood Cemetery. Peterson Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Burdette Hunt and Mrs. Marvin Boyce provided music. Casket bearers were Drayton Slaughter, Warren Robertson, Wayne Hilton, Harold Blackman, Dale Sell and Ben Jackson.
