Alice Shamblen Suicides

Several weeks ago the Omaha papers told of the suicide of Frank Shamblen. Last Thursday the widow of the young man, Mrs. Alice Shamblen, killed herself by drinking carbolic acid. Her maiden name was Wells and her parents live at Ashland, Neb. John Shamblen, the father of the young man, was a blacksmith and lived some years ago at both Glenwood and Hastings. He now has a shop at South Omaha.
