THE TABOR BEACON
DATED NOVEMBER 7, 1929:

Mrs. Frank Goode of Knobnoster, Mo., who accompanied the remains of her husband to Tabor for burial on Friday is spending a few days visiting her sister, Mrs. A. C. Harrington and her brother, George Garrett, and her niece, Mrs. Raymond Laird, as well as Mr. Goode’s nieces and nephews. Mrs. Charlie Goode who had assisted Mrs. Goode in the care of her husband for the past several months is also a guest here and will return to Knobnoster with her.

Frank Law Goode was born April 8, 1860 to John and Elisheba Goode.

On September 30, 1884 Frank and Rachel E. Garrett were married in Mills County, Iowa. Frank and Rachel remained childless.

Frank Goode died October 30, 1929 at the age of 69.

In the 1895 Rawles Township State Census, Frank’s occupation is shown as “farmer”. In the “Directory of Leading Farmers of Mills County” for the year 1910 he is also listed in Section 31, Tabor. In her mothers obituary in 1911, they had moved to Knobnoster, Missouri.

Both, Frank and Rachel Goode are buried at the Tabor, Iowa cemetery in Section 2, Row 21.
