GLENWOOD - Funeral for Elvin Bird, 79, of Glenwood will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Hardiman-Raynor Funeral Home in Glenwood.

Mr. Bird died Aug. 26 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs.

He was born Aug. 3, 1921, in Glenwood to Murl and Grace (Morgan) Bird. He lived in the Glenwood area all his life and was a self-employed home improvement and repair worker.

Survivors include a daughter, LuAnne Jensen, of Council Bluffs; three sons, Errol, Dennis and Clyde, all of Council Bluffs; three sisters Alice Hobbs of LaMesa, Calif., Janice Holland of Kansas City, Kan., and Orma Jean Budd of Commanche; a brother, Arthur, of Glenwood; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Liberty Cemetery near Malvern.
