DATED JULY 10, 1958:

Funeral services for Ferdinand Seitz, 80, who resided at 2602 Avenue B., Council Bluffs, were held Saturday, July 5, at the First Nazarene Church in that city. Burial was made in the Glenwood cemetery under the direction of Meyer Funeral Home. Mr. Seitz died at his home last Wednesday evening (July 1958) after an illness of one year.

Mr. Seitz was born in Glenwood, and had lived in Council Bluffs the past 32 years. He was a retired employee of the Iowa School for the Deaf, a member of the First Nazarene Church of Council Bluffs and a lay minister.

Survivors are his widow, Eva; three daughters, Mrs. Frank L. Griffith, Mrs. Robert C. Copeland, and Mrs. J. A. O’Connor, all of Council Bluffs; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Charles R. Seitz of Glenwood, William of Willows, Calif., Hugo of Council Bluffs, and Jon of Phoenix, Ariz.; and four sisters, Mrs. Christine Marienau of Akron, Iowa, Mrs. Lizzie Goodrich of Logan, Iowa, Mrs. Anna Myers of Sacramento, Calif., and Miss Rebecca Seitz of Salem, Ore.

Ferdinand Seitz married Eva Ethel Boyce on July 3, 1902 at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Boyce in West Oak Twp. Eva was the daughter of Robert Lawson Boyce and Nancy Belle (Croson) Boyce. She was born June 10, 1882 in Mills County, Iowa.
