NEBRASKA CITY, Neb.---Hughbert Daniel Ragland, 58, of Glenwood died Dec. 23 at Extended Day Hotel in Cherryhill, N. J. He was born Nov. 15, 1945, in Glenwood to Dan and Virginia (Garrett) Ragland and worked as a crane Operator for Case Foundation of Illinois.

Survivors include his previous wife, Aphrodite “Ditta” Ragland of Nebraska City; two daughters Lisa Heaton and husband, Charlie, of St. Joseph, Mo., Sophie Ragland of Lincoln, Neb.; two sons, Michael and Thomas Ragland and his wife, Rachelle, all of Nebraska City; a sister, Linda Walton and husband Larry, of Lincoln, Neb.; three brothers, Walter Ragland of Grand Island, Neb., Floyd and Robert Ragland, both of Percival; eight grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Gabrielle and Thomas Ragland, all of Nebraska City, Corissa Heaton of Saint Joseph, Masica, Katherine and Elizabeth Ragland of Lincoln, Neb.; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 11 a.m. at the Peterson Mortuary Chapel in Nebraska City, Neb. with the Reverend Jesse Brown officiating. Burial will be at Estes Cemetery in Tabor.

Military rites will be performed by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 7064 in Tabor.

Arrangements are being made by Peterson Mortuary in Nebraska City.
