Wilma June Gragg was born June 28, 1932, to Bain and Ethel Study at Thruman, Iowa. She died March 30, 1979. She attended school at Bartlett Consolidated School, graduating as valedictorian of her class. She received a teacher’s certificate from Peru State Teachers College, later teaching in rural schools.

She was united in marriage to Arlen Gragg, June 10, 1950, at Papillion, Nebr. This union was blessed with four children.

She worked at the Glenwood State Hospital School prior to moving to California, residing there for ten years. She helped organize the first kindergarten there for the retarded.

They returned to Randolph, Iowa in 1967 to make their home - remaining there until 1977. In 1967, she again went to work caring for the children. Poor health forced her to retire at an early age.

She is survived by three children, Rick of Malvern, Ia., Mrs. Vickie Aistrope also of Malvern and Debra of Tabor. Also her daughter-in-law Linda Gragg, and son-in-law Kevin Aistrope, two grandsons, Jamie and Jonathan Gragg, and two granddaughters, Melissa and Sharon Aistrope, her mother, Ethel Study of Tabor; five sisters, Ellen Moore of Glenwood, Ia., Hazel McCollum of Columbus, Nebr., Elsie Hullis of Swanee River, Fla., Norma Chapman of N. Car., and Velma Sheap of Michigan. Three brothers, Norman of Jacksonville, Fla., Max of Logan, Iowa., and Jerry of Wyoming.

Her father and an infant daughter preceded her in death.

Services for Wilma June Gragg, 46, of Tabor, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Crawford-Reeves Funeral Home here.

Burial will be in the Thurman cemetery.

Mrs. Gragg died Friday the victim of an apparent murder-suicide, sheriff’s officials said. Her husband, Orlen, was also killed.

She is survived by her mother, Audra Studey of Tabor; two daughter, Vicki Aistrope of Malvern and Debra Rae Gragg of Tabor; one son, Ricky of Malvern; four grandchildren; three brothers, Norman B. Studey of Florida, Max G. Studey of Logan and Jerry Studey of Wyoming; and five sisters, Ellen Moore of Glenwood, Hazel McCollum of Columbus, Neb., Norma Chapman of North Carolina, Velma Sheap of Michigan and Elsie Hullis of Suwannee River, Fla.
