The following obituary is copied from the August 28, 1958 issue of the Opinion Tribune:

Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie M. Burt were held Friday, August 22, at 2 p.m. from Pilgrim Holiness Church in Pacific Junction. Rev. George Durkee officiated at the final rites. Music was furnished by Mrs. Marvin Peterson and Mrs. Alex Christiansen. Ushers were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Edwards.

Casket bearers were Gerald Nuss, Walter Green, Jack Dalton, Melvin F. Kingery, Herman Vohs and Howard Kates. Caring for flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Harmon and Mr. and Mrs. Lorren Fisher.

Burial was in Martin’s Chapel Cemetery north of Pacific Junction. Raynor Funeral Home of Glenwood was in charge of arrangements.

Minnie Margaret, daughter of Frank and Mary Hunter, was born in Pacific Junction on March 4, 1926. She attended the Pacific Junction schools.

In 1943 she was united in marriage to Melville Leroy Morris, Sr. One son was born to them.

Minnie spent all of her life in the Pacific Junction community except two years spent in Fort Worth, Texas. While there she was united in marriage to Carl Raymond Burt in 1948.

For the past two months she had been employed at the Glenwood State School.

Minnie met her death in a car accident early the morning of August 19, 1958 at the age of 32 years, 4 months and 15 days.

She is survived by her husband, Carl R. Burt, her son, Melville Morris and her father Frank Hunter, all of Pacific Junction; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph R. Evans of Pacific Junction and Mrs. Francis Martin of Omaha; five brothers, Bennie Hunter of Oklahoma City, Okla., Harry Hunter of Council Bluffs, Jack and Jerry Hunter of Pacific Junction and Jay Earl Hunter of the United States Navy. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
