The Glenwood Opinion Tribune dated 10-11-1945:

George Adelbert Crouch, a resident of Mills county for 46 years, passed away at his farm home north of Glenwood early Saturday morning, October 6, after an illness of several months, at the age of 64 years, 3 months and 21 days.

He was born at Vail, Iowa in Crawford County on June 14th, 1881, the son of Matt and Mary Crouch. He was one of eight children, two of whem survive him.

With his parents he moved to Mills county at the age of eighteen. Soon after comig here, he was affiliated with the Methodist church.

He was united in marriage with Otellie Tuchenhagen, December 25, 1912. To this union were born four children, Kenneth, Lucille, Russell and Albert.

He is survived by his wife, three sons, Kenneth and Russell of Glenwood and Albert in the U. S. Navy, one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Boyce of Glenwood, three grandchildren, one brother, Charles of Glenwood, and one sister, Mrs. Florence DeWeese of Anderson, Indiana.

Services were held Tuesday, October 9 at the Raynor Funeral Home, with a former pastor, Rev. J. F. Stille of Council Bluffs officiating. Interment was made in Glenwood cemetery.
