Frances Nunley was born April 25, 1882 in Johnson County near Iowa City. The family moved to Glenwood about 1892 where she grew to womanhood.

In the year 1904 she was united in marriage to William Hall and to this union five children were born as follows, Mrs. Frances Springer, Lloyd and Ed of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Clarence Price of Plattsmouth, and Max who preceded his mother in death.

Early in life she confessed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, becoming identified with the Glenwood Christian church where she retained her membership until death. The family moved to Council Bluffs about seven years ago. Mr. Hall departed this life in February 1941. For some time Mrs. Hall has been making her home with her daughter in Council Bluffs. She passed away at the Mercy hospital September 17, 1941, aged 59 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Besides her immediate family she leaves to mourn their loss one sister Mrs. Addie Hughes, one half sister, Mrs. Eva Coil of Sioux City, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Myers-James Funeral Home Friday afternoon with Reverend J. S. Reel, pastor of the Christian church in charge. Music for the service consisted of vocal duets by Eleanor Powers and Delores Reel, accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Dorsey Roll.

Pallbearers were Fred Houser, Bert Culley, Jim Scott, Charlie Hunt, Roy Fackler and Faun Pickeral. The body was laid to rest in the family plot in the Glenwood cemetery by the side of her husband.
