Hugh R. Edwards, 67, of Glenwood died Wednesday (November 17, 1982) at a Council Bluffs hospital following a short illness.

Born in rual Pottawattamie County, he had resided in Mills County most of his life.

He retired in 1970 after serving 40 years as a self employed building contractor in the Glenwood community.

He was a member of the Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department and the Masonic Lodge in Glenwood. He and his wife, Pauline, had been married 48 years.

Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Ruth Lundy and Jane Ross, both of Glenwood; a son, Gene, of Louisville, Neb.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at he Raynor Funeral Home in Glenwood. The Rev. Victor Engelmann, pastor of First Congregational Church of Glenwood will officiate. Burial will be at the Glenwood Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Raynor's. Memorials are suggested to the Glenwood Library.
