Robert Lyle, the beautiful little son of Mr and Mrs. George and Martha Garrett, north of Tabor, departed this life August 24, after a brief illness of a few days.

He was born June 5, 1915. He went home to Christ August 24, 1919, aged 4 years, 2 months and 19 days. He lived wih us long enough to make the impress of his individuality. Like a flower he came, brightened the home and now has gone. O, so soon, to be where God as called him. Therefore, we shall not mourn as those who have no hope. It is blessed to love and mourn, but we must not murmur, nor complain. Let us place our hand in the hand of Christ and say "O, Christ, Thou can do no wrong, make no mistake." "Thy Will be done." We are resigned, give us thy blessing.

The funeral as preached by Rev. Hugh S. Mitchell, pastor of the Methodist church at Tabor, at Fairview on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Music was furnished by the Hillsdale choir. The burial was in the Fairview cemetery. There we committed the tender little body to the ground, with the confident hope of the resurrection----Tabor Beacon.
