Elmer Addison Garrett, 37, died at a Council Bluffs hospital Aug. 13, after an illness of two weeks. He first had tonsillitis followed by quinsy. He gradually grew worse and Saturday a nurse was called and Monday he was taken to the hospital where blood transfusion was made.

He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Aileen and Pauline, and two sons, Elmer Earl and Robert. For several years the Garrett family has lived on a farm west of Thurman. Funeral services will be held at the Raynor chapel in Glenwood, Ia. Aug. 16, conducted by Rev. C. W. Cooper. Burial will be made in Fairview cemetery.
