James McMillen Dead

Mr. James McMillen died yesterday at his home in the north part of town after a brief illness. He was in his 87th year and had been a resident of the county over fifty years. The funeral will be held at the East Liberty church Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

James McMillen was born in Virginia, Aug. 25,1817, and moved with his parents to Ohio when a mere child. At the age of 22 he moved to Missouri and soon afterward married Mary Campbell. To this union were born seven children, four boys and three girls of which all survive him with the exception of one son. In 1888 his wife died. Dec. 18, 1800` he was married to Fanny Rogers, who survives him.
