Daniel Jones

Daniel Jones, a former resident of Mills County, died rather suddenly of heart trouble Thursday noon at the home of his daughter Mrs. Frank Sell at Red Oak. The remains were brought to Malvern for burial and the funeral was held from the Methodist church on Sunday afternoon. His wife died in Malvern in 1892.

The deceased was born June 26, 1839, and came to Mills County in 1870. The family resided for some years east of Strahan in Deer Creek township, and for six years were residents of Malvern.

He is survived by four sons and three daughters; William S. Jones, Glenwood; John H., Bartlett, Neb; D.S. Kirley, S.D.' Mrs. May Hiller, Ogallala, Neb.' Mrs. F.H. Sell, Red Oak; Mrs. Nellie Jones, Chapman, Neb., and Harry Jones, Imogene.
