Jane Banister
In the name of God Amen; I Jane Banister of the township of Silver Creek, in the county of Mills and State of Iowa of the age of eighty four, and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following. That is to say;
First: I give and bequeath to my son George W. Banister the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter and the north half of the southeast of the northwest quarter all in Section Eight (8) Township seventy two (72) Range forty-one (41) in Mills County, Iowa.
Second; I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Banister the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter and the south half of the south east quarter of the northwest quarter all in section eight (8) township seventy two (72) Range forty one (41) in Mills County, Iowa.
Third; I give and bequeath to my son George W. Banister the frame house standing on the N.W. qr. of the N.W. qr. Section eight (8) Township 72 Range 41 in Mills County, Iowa, being the house I now live in, including all the household and kitchen furniture of which I may die seized. Two colts coming three years old, our farm wagon, one set of double pane harness, our harrow, one cultivator, one stirring plow.
Fourth; I give and bequeath to my daughters, Jane Smith, Margut Russel, Harriet Nichols, Livey Pirdieu, Nancy Linsey, five dollars each to be paid by the executor of this my last will and testament.
Fifth; I give and bequeath to my sons, Allen Banister, Moses Banister and James Banister five dollars each to be paid by my executor as above indicated.
Sixth; It is my desire and I hereby direct my executor to purchase a tombstone worth about $125, and a coffin worth about $50.00 and to pay all my debts and funeral expenses their it is my desire, and I hereby direct my executor to pay the residue of money whatever it may be to my son, George W. Banister.
Seventh; I give and bequeath to my son George W. Banister the residue above named a cow and calf and all personal property not otherwise appropriated in this will. I also hereby appoint L.W. Huffaker the executor of this my last will and testament.
Witness my hand this 15th day of November 1892.
Jane BanisterThe above instrument consisting of two half sheets of legal cap paper pinned together was at the date thereof signed and declared by the said Jane Banister as and for her last will and testament in presence of us who at her request and in her presence subscribed our names as witnesses.
