Last Will and Testament of Jas Banister Jr.

I James Bannister Jr. of Mills County, State of Iowa being of sound disposing mind and memory and of full age, do hereby make and ordain this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made. I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Julia E. Banister all my estate both real and personal in whatever it may consist or wheresoever situated at my decease to be by her used and disposed of during her natural life the same as I myself might do were I living, giving my wife full power to sell, exchange, invest and reinvest in the same manner I might do if living and to deed by gift or otherwise to my son Henry Bannister at any time during her life as she may see proper and according to her own judgment and discretion, that the finish money devised from the property either real or personal after paying funeral expenses shall be used in the discharge of my debts. I hereby appoint my wife Julia E. Banister the executor of this my last will and testament with full power to settle the estate and that she be not required to give bond as an executor.

In witness whereof, I have set my hand this 12 day of Feb. 1886

The foregoing instrument was at the date thereof subscribed by James Banister Jr. in our presence and he at the same time declared it to be his last will and testament and by his request we signed our names both in his presence and in the presence of each other.
