This is the Last Will and Testament of me, Jane Wilson of Mills County, Iowa, widow of Thomas Wilson, deceased.

I, Jane Wilson (Widow) of Mills County and State of Iowa being of sound mind and memory but reminded by increasing years, that I cannot long remain, do make and publish this my last will and testament revoking all former wills by me heretofore made.

Whereas, my deceased husband, Thos Wilson by his last Will and Testament expressed his desire that upon my decease our children should share equally any property of his remaining unused by me, and whereas loans of divers sum of the proceeds of said estate have been made to some of our children. Now, therefore, in accordance with and for the purpose of conforming to my said deceased husband desires as well as my own, I hereby give devise and bequeath to each of my children or to the issue of any of my children deceased such issue taking the share which such deceased child would entitled if living in the manner following; I direct that my executor shall ascertain the exact amount which each of my said children shall have received from my said husband’s estate and of the undivided residue of said estate, and then that all my own estate, personal and rest, shall be so divided among all my children or their issue that each of my children or their issue shall receive an equal portion of the combined estates of my said husband and my own. I direct my executor to dispose of any real property I may own at the time of my demise and divide and settle up paying heirs their shares as expeditiously as he can.

Signed in our presence by the testator, Jane Wilson as and for her last will and testament, and we at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other do hereunto subscribe our names as attesting witnesses thereto.

Codicil:

And now on this 3rd December 1884, I further declare that of the secondary loans by me and by the executor of my deceased husband to my children, if there be interest unpaid on any of them at the time of my decease, such interest shall be calculated and added to the principal and deducted from the aggregate of the respective shares. I state further that of the $500 loan by said executor to my son, Thomas, (now deceased) the interest was paid me to April 9, 1883.
