Malvern Leader
September 12, 1895

On Friday morning Willie Craig, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Craig received a shot from a 32 caliber revolver which was accidentally discharged while in the hands of his brother-in-law, Mr. Miller, of Malvern. Drs. Agan and Agan were called as soon as possible and upon examination found that the ball had entered on the right side, a short distance below the collar bone, ranging inward and downward, passing through the chest cavity and it is presumed lodged under the left shoulder blade. While he is resting as well as could be expected, he is still in critical condition. It is thought that if inflammation does not set in it will be possible for him to recover.
