WILL OF JOHN DERNBERGER

In the name of God, Amen, I, John Dernberger of the Town of Rawles, County of Mills and State of Iowa of the age of fifty nine years and being of sound mind do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say.

First I give and bequeath to my wife Maria Dernberger my farm being the East half of South East quarter of Section Sixteen, Township Seventy-One North Range Forty Two West of the 5th Principal Meridian containing seventy nine acres, also my ______horse and two cows with the house and household furniture in which I am living.

Second I give and devise all the rest of my Real Estate to my said sons George F. Dernberger, Daniel A. Dernberger and my said daughter Ann E. West to be divided equally between them.

And Lastly I do hereby appoint my wife Maria Dernberger and Daniel A. Dernberger to be the executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 16th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty three. Signed John Dernberger.

The above instrument consisting of one sheet was at the date thereof signed and declared by the said John Dernberger as and for his last Will and Testament in presence of us who at his request and in his presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.
