I, S. W. Creech of Mills County, Iowa, being of sound mind and memory do hereby publish and declare this instrument to be my last will and testament, that is to say:
I devise unto my wife Emza Creech until her death, or the earlier event of her marriage if she should marry, and not longer, the rents and profits of my real estate in Mills County, Iowa, herein after described. I further will and devise that at her death or upon her marriage if she should marry, all her interest in said property shall cease and determine, and that said real estate shall go to and be held and owned absolutely by my children in the parcels and divisions as follows:
To my daughter Myrtle M. Delavan the North East quarter of Section (18) the East half of the South West quarter of the South East quarter of Section (7); and the following tract of land in section (18) commencing at the south east corner of North East Quarter of Section (18) running thence South twenty five rods thence due west to Wahaghbonsie Creek; thence in a northerly direction along the center of said creek to the south line of the North East Quarter of Section (18), thence east to the place of beginning all in Township (71) Range (42) in said County of Mills, State of Iowa.
To my son William P. Creech the use of my undivided half interest in the south half of the north east quarter and the North half of the south east quarter in section 17 Township (71) Range (42) in Mills County, Iowa. My son, William P. Creech shall have the use of the land last described as long as he lives and at his death shall be sold and the proceeds equally divided between my grandchildren.
All the remainder of my personal property (of which) I may die possessed I bequeath to my wife absolutely. I hereby appoint my daughter Myrtle M. Delavan as my executrix without Bond.
Signed this February 20th 1917…S. W. Creech.This is to certify that we the undersigned were this day requested by S. W. Creech, the foregoing named testator to witness his signature to the foregoing instrument that we saw him sign said instrument in the presence of both of us as he requested. He declaring it to be his last Will and Testament and at said time he was of sound mind and memory.
