I F.M. Buffington being of sound mind and reason, make this my last will and
testament.After my just debts are paid I give to my daughter Carrie A. Hammers Five
Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to be paid to her within five years after my
death, without interest.To My daughter Carrie A. Hammers I give in trust for her children the
following described land. The South East quarter of section 28 and the East
half of the South West Quarter of section 28- The West half of the North West
quarter of section 10 and the South West of the South West quarter of section
3 and East half of the North East Quarter of section 9 all in tp. 72 R.42
Mills County, Iowa.My daughter Effie E. Jackson shall not be required to give any bond and I give
to my daughter Effie E. Jackson after the death of my wife Sarah the following
described land. The South East quarter of the South East quarter section 26
and North East quarter of section 25-and the East Half of the North West of
the North East of Section 35 and the North Half of the North West quarter of
section 36 and 10 acres off of the North side of the South East quarter Of the
North West quarter of section 36 all in Tp. 73R 43 Mills County, Iowa.
containing 190 acres more or less.To Marjorie Buffingon daughter of my son John C. now deceased, I give an
undivided 1/6th interest. In the North half of the South East quarter of the
section 26-72-42 being the interest purchased by me from Clyde Buffington.
Also a strip of land thirty nine (39) rods wide off of the North side of the
South Half of South East quarter of section 26-72-42 thirty nine acres.To Dwight Buffington son of my son John C. now deceased I give land as
follows; a strip of land forty one (41) rods wide off of the South Side of the
South Half of South East quarter of section 26, 72-42 also a strip 58 rods
wide off of the North side of the North half of the North East quarter of
section thirty five #72-42 about 99 acres.To John Buffington son of my son John C. now deceased, I give land as follows;
the South Half of the North East quarter of section 35-72-42 and a strip of
land twenty two rods wide off of the South side of the North half of the North
East quarter of section 35-72-42.I have already provided for Clyde Buffington son of my son John C. Buffington
now deceased by giving him money to buy land in Nebraska.The above bequests are made with the understanding that my grand children,
will not sell or encumber their inheritance before they arrive at the age of
30 years, but are to have the use and benefit of the land after or when they
arrive at the age of twenty years.All the remainder of my property both real and personal wherever situated not
already bequests I give to my wife Sarah.I hereby appoint my wife Sarah my sole executrix without bond, she will take
my place and pay all my just debts.Dated this 20th day of November 1911
