Society Notes: Girl Scouts Have Service in Park

An Investiture Service for the newly formed Girl Scout organization was held Tuesday afternoon in Paddock park. Miss Frances Benton, captain, and Miss Bernice Caudell, first lieutenant, conducted the service.

The girls first gave a demonstration of work, then received their pins. The girls receiving pins are: Marian Benton, Dorothy Galliher, Charlotte Wederquist, Mary Elizabeth Summers, Jane Fletcher, Phyllis Wilson. Dorothy Slothower, Ruth Louise McCord, Lorraine Fletcher, Barbara Amos, Julia Jean Steele, Elinor Farquhar, Lenore Mansfield, Betty Caudell, and Jane Saar.

Four other girls present who plan to join the organization were Georgia Marie Hilton, Velma Jean Caudell, Mary Louise Juelke, and Mary Jean Ewing.

After the service refreshments of punch and cookies were served.
