WILL OF EPHRIAM CAREY

I, Ephriam Carey, of Malvern, Mills County, Iowa, being of sound mind, though of feeble health, do hereby make, publish and declare this, my last will and testament.

As soon after my death as practicable, I hereby direct that all of my just debts be fully paid, satisfied and discharged. This is to include the expenses of my last sickness and burial.

I hereby direct that a suitable monument should be erected over my grave, this monument to correspond in style and character to the one over my mother's grave.

I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my sister, Sarah Conrad, all of my property, both real and personal, that I may die seized of, to have, to hold and to own, absolutely and unconditionally. It is herein recited that I consider that my brothers and sisters, or their heirs, are not entitled to a bequest from me and in consideration of the care and attention given to me by my said sister, Sarah Conrad, I desire that she shall be my sole legatee.

I hereby nominate and appoint C. B. Christy to be the executor of this my last will and testament, and request that he be not required to furnish bond.

In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand at Malvern, Iowa,. this 28th day of February 1913, in the presence of Fred Durbin and W. L. Smith to whom I have delivered this instrument and have declared to them that it is my last will and testament and I have requested them to sign the same as witnesses thereto.

We, Fred Durbin and W. L. Smith, both of Malvern, Iowa, have received the above and foregoing instrument from the hands of Ephriam Carey, he has declared to us that this is his last Will and Testament and he has requested us to sign the same as witnesses thereunto, and we have hereto affixed our signatures at Malvern, Iowa, on this 28th day of Febr. 1913
