MILLS COUNTY WILL

I, John Swanson, of the town of Emerson in the County of Mills and State of Iowa, being of sound mind and memory, do make publish and declare this my last will and testament, to wit:

First, All my just debts and funeral expenses shall be first paid.

Second, I give devise and bequeath to my son, Charles Swanson, One Dollar

Third, To my daughter, Clara Anderson, One Dollar

Fourth, To my daughter, Matilda Roswall, One Dollar

Fifth, To my daughter, Anna Degerman, One Dollar

Sixth, To my daughter Selma Anderson, One Dollar

Seventh, To my daughter, Augusta Johnson, One Dollar

Eighth, I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my estate both real and personal to my wife Christina Swanson to have and to use or dispose of in part or wholly, if necessary for her comfort, anything left after her death to be given to my daughter, Hilma Swanson to be her's and her heirs and assigns forever.

Ninth, I nominate and appoint my said daughter Hilma Swanson to be the executor of this my last will and testament, without bonds.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of October A. D. 1904

Signed sealed and declared as and for his last will and testament by the above named testator, in our presence, and who have at his request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other signed our names as witnesses thereto.
