ALLAN T. RAINS

I, Allan T. Rains, do hereby make, publish and declare this my last will and testament, that is to
say:

First - I desire that all my legal debts be first paid.

Second - I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife, Joanna Rains, an undivided one third of
the property herein after bequeathed, so long as she lives, in lieu of all her rights as my wife.

Third - I give, devise and bequeath unto my six children, to wit: Vona Rains, E. H. Rains, Alta
Pettit, Roy Rains, Cand Rains and Cecil F. Rains, share and share alike, and subject to said
life interest of my wife all the land of which I may die seized in the State of Iowa.
Dated this 8th day of March 1917....Signed Allan T. Rains

Lawrence W. Rains of Anaheim California, and Walter Eden of Santa Ana California, do
hereby declare that we were present and saw Allan T. Rains subscribe his name to the
foregoing will, and heard him declare the same to be his last will and testament and at his
request and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, we sign our names hereto as
witnesses to said will.

We further declare that we believe the said Allan T. Rains, at the time he subscribed his name
to said will, was of sound and disposing mind, and acting under no constraint.
