LAST WILL OF LEWIS D. McMULLIN
I, Lewis D. McMullin, of Emerson, Mills County, Iowa, being of sound mind, memory and
understanding, do hereby make, publish and declare the following to be my last will and
testament, hereby revoking all former wills made by me.First - I give and bequeath to my son, J. W. McMullin, his promisory note made to me August
15, 1908, for Three Hundred Dollars, together with all my interest in Lots Nos. 478 and 479 in
Emerson, Iowa.Second - I give and bequeath to my daughter-in-law, Emma McMullin, all my beds, bedding
and clothing together with all kitchen and household furniture.Third - To my daughter, Uphie Simons, I give and bequeath Fifty Dollars.
Fourth - To my granddaughter, Jessie Fisher, I give and bequeath Two Hundred Dollars.
Fifth - To my daughter Fannie Boldozier, I have and bequeath Six Hundred Dollars
Sixth - To my daughter, Eldra F. Young, I give and bequeath Two Hundred Dollars.
Seventh - All of the above and foregoing special legacies to be paid out of the proceeds of
sale of any property that I may possess at the time of my death.Eighth - I give and bequeath all of the remainder and residue of my real and personal property
that I may have at the time of my death to my sons, Frank E. McMullin, James W. McMullin,
Edwin S. McMullin and to my daughters, Mary I. Ruby, Myrtle L. Silket, Fannie A. Boldozier
and Clara E. Pratt; my said daughter, Clara E. Pratt to take one third of the one seventh of
said remainder and residue, and my grandson Lewis D. Pratt, to take one third of one seventh
and my granddaughter, Joyce Fields to take the remaining one third of one seventh. My said
sons and daughters each to take one seventh or share and share alike of the remainder and
residue of my property both real and personal, except Clara E. Pratt, who with her son and
daughter above named, is to take and receive one seventh.Ninth - I direct that a monument be placed at the grave of myself and wife at a cost of Three
Hundred and Fifty Dollars.Witness my hand in the presence of these witnesses, this the 22nd day of July, 1909

hereby certify that we signed the same in his presence and he signed said instrument in our
presence, we all signing in the presence of each other. That he requested us to sign said will
as attesting witnesses and declared to us the same to be his last will and testament.
