I, James L. Talbott, of Malvern, Iowa, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby make,
publish and declare this, my last Will and Testament.I hereby direct that as soon after my death as practicable, all of my just debts including the
expenses of my last sickness and burial, be fully paid, satisfied and discharged.I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Charlotte Talbott, all of my property
both real and personal, that I now own or may acquire and own at the time of my decease,
together with all or any interest in any life insurance policies on my life. This I give to her for
her full use and benefit during the term of her natural life and at her death, I hereby devise and
bequeath the rest and residue of my estate, at that time remaining, to my two sons, George W.
Talbott and Lawrence A. Talbott, to be divided share and share alike.If either of my said two sons shall not survive my said wife, the beneficiary above named, then
in that event, that part of my estate which should have gone to the said son, if living, shall go
to the heirs of such an one deceased, or if no heirs are left to the said son, then his share
shall be given entire to the one which shall survive his mother, or if neither of my two said sons
shall survive their mother, then the balance of my estate remaining unused shall be divided in
the ratio above indicated, between the heirs, if any, of my two sons.I hereby nominate and appoint my son, Lawrence A. Talbott, as the executor of this, my last
Will and Testament and request that he be not required to give bond.Witness my hand this 14th day of June A.D. 1911....Signed James L. Talbott
We the undersigned, C. B. Christy and Lottie Deardorff, both of Malvern, Mills County, Iowa,
have this day received from James L. Talbott, the testator in the within Will, this instrument
which he has declared to us to be his last Will and Testament and which we have this day
signed, in his presence and in the presence of each other at Malvern, Iowa, on the 14th day of
June, 1911.
