29 December 1904

There was a pretty wedding yesterday afternoon at 4:30 at the Presbyterian church at Emerson when Clarence Barnes led to the altar one of the East End's fair daughters and well known school ma'ams, Miss Vina Crawford. Rev. J. D. Sweeney officiated. The couple were attended by a brother and a sister of the bride. The church was beautifully decorated, the couple standing beneath a large bell.

A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Crawford. The couple left today for a week's stay at Burlington, after which they will live on a farm north of Emerson. They are splendid young people.
