2 April 1942

O. H. Hiatt and Mrs. Bertha Spidell, both of Pacific Junction, journeyed to Sidney Wednesday, where they were joined by Mrs. Art Carter, a sister of Mr. Hiatt, and Miss Bessie Estes, a cousin, driving on to Rockport, Missouri, where they were married by H. P. Savage, a justice of the peace of that city. Returning to Sidney they visited at the home of Mrs. Art Carter for a short time and returned to their home in Pacific Junction. Mrs. Spidell has been a resident of Pacific Junction for over forty-two years and is well and favorably known by a large circle of friends. Mr. Hiatt has been a resident of the Junction for fifteen years. Oscar, as he is known by most people, was born and raised on a farm south of Sidney where he lived until about twenty years ago when he moved to a farm near Glenwood, moving from there to Pacific Junction. Their many friends wish them a long and happy life together.
