11 July 1927Wm. H. Eaton, mayor of Emerson and the well-known grain dealer and elevator man of that city, was married Saturday evening to Miss Jessie Cheney.
The ceremony took place in the presence of a large company of relatives of the contracting parties, at 6 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs Elihu Cheney, just south of Emerson.
Rev. John Taylor of the Baptist church was the officiating clergyman.
The bride has been a successful teacher for several years in the Emerson schools and is in every way a fine young woman.
They are a most worthy couple and have the best wishes of many friends for their future happiness.
