The fifth Emerson bride was Mrs. Ida Young. She was married at the Methodist church in Red Oak Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock to Samuel G. Steen, a wealthy farmer and old settler residing just east of Emerson in Montgomery county.

Mrs. Young is a veteran Mills county school teacher and enjoys the distinction of having taught the Goheen school two miles south of Glenwood for nine consecutive years, completing her last year this month. We believe this beats the record for a rural school in this county.
