Will of Edwin G. Woodrow
I, Edwin G. Woodrow, being of sound and disposing mind and memory do hereby make, publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, revoking any and all former will by me at any time heretofore made.
1. I direct that my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid out of my estate.
2. To my cousin Dr. F. M. Shriver and his wife Jennie Shriver, I give and bequeath jointly the sum of Four Thousand ($3,000 [sic]) Dollars, which bequest is made out of gratitude for their years of kindness and assistance, given to me when I was greatly in need thereof. I also give to Dr. F. M. Shriver my diamond stud.
3. To Mergeline Shriver Boyd I give and bequeath a diamond ear ring of the approximate value of $200.00
4. To my cousin Mrs. Mary Lutes of Moundsville, West Virginia, I give and bequeath the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000) Dollars.
5. To my cousin Mrs. J. C. Hood, of Moundsville, West Virginia, I give and bequeath the sum of One Thousand ($1,000) Dollars.
6. To my cousin Miss Mottie (sic) Fish of Hudson, Ohio, I give and bequeath the sum of One Thousand ($1,000) Dollars.
7. To my cousin Eva Fish Lawrence of Cheyenne, Wyoming, formerly, but now a resident of either Oregon or Washington, I give and bequeath the sum of One Thousand ($1,000) Dollars.
8. To my cousins Glifton (sic), Woodrow and Rowena Woodrow Holbrook, I give and bequeath the sum of One Thousand ($1,000) Dollars to each, and to the latter named cousin, Rowena Woodrow Holbrook, of Santa Ana, California, in addition to the $1,000, I give and bequeath a diamond stick pin of the approximate value of $50.00.
9. From the residue of my estate, remaining after payment of the above stated bequests, I give and bequeath the same to the amount of One Thousand Five Hundred ($1,500) Dollars, to the First Baptist Church of Glenwood, Iowa, said sum to be expanded in the purchase of a pipe organ, in the event that said Church shall not at my decease already have such an organ, in which case then said bequest shall be inoperative.
10. The portion of my estate which shall remain after the bequest at #9, is paid, if any there be, or if for the reason that said bequest shall be inoperative as stated by said Church already possessing a pipe organ. I then in either case direct that the said remainder shall be divided among the beneficiaries named herein, preceding the bequest at #9, proportionately to their shares as herein provided. I likewise direct that in the event of shortage then that said bequests to the persons named, preceding article #9 shall be diminished in proportion to their respective sums herein provided.
11. I hereby nominate and appoint Mr. H. M. Logan of Glenwood, Iowa as Executor of this my last will and testament.

Woodrow sign the within instrument; that we at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other sign the same as subscribing witnesses, and that he then and there stated that the said instrument was his last will and testament, and requested us to sign the same as subscribing witnesses.
