Monday June 23, 1941Former Resident Visits Here After 45 Years
J. O. Horton, 87 of Salem, Nebraska, accompanied by his son and daughter, was in Glenwood today, calling on old time friends, among them being Doctor J. M. Donelan. He also visited the Opinion-Tribune office during the noon hour.
Mr. Horton left this community in 1896 and notes many changes in the 45 years time, the disappointing of which he remarks was the absence of many familiar figures who were residents here in the days gone by. Mr. Horton resided on the old Dean farm in Lyons township, near what was known as Old Haynie Slough.
