Baccalaureate Services

The Baptist Church Sunday evening was filled to capacity and many stood and aisles had many chairs.

The occasion was the Baccalaureate services for the class of 1921, Glenwood High School. The services began with music by the High school orchestra, led by Miss Geneva.

The Boys' and Girls' Glee Clubs occupied the choir rostrum and no prettier sight has it held in many a day. The songs given by the combined clubs was a treat and only the usual amenities of such a service prevented generous applause.
The invocation was by Rev. Howard Mintle and scripture reading was by Rev. L.E. Ripley. The sermon was delivered by Rev. Thomas Evans of the Congregational Church. It was a find address, replete with advice that found a response in the minds of every person who has reached the meridian of life. His text was Numbers 13:30, 31, 32. The benediction was pronounced by Rev. Bobbitt of the Baptist church.
