I am a descendant of Lafayette's sister, Vashti. I don't have much info on Sarepta but I found her and Lafayette on the Clinton Co., IA census in 1900. Since she is buried in Shaffton Cemetery there, I am guessing that she died there.

I have been trying to track down Sarepta's father but I am not certain of his first name. Her mother, Lydia, is listed in the census in 1856 as widowed but in 1880 as divorced. That would mean a court record listing his name, prob. in Jones Co., IA.
