My grandfather worked as a machinist at the 'roundhouse' in Boone, Iowa - mostly on the night shift as he got home around 6AM. His address was 1119 Union Street in Boone. I have a picture of him leaning against a coal and water tender, #2425. He died in the 40's in Boone at the local hospital.I am trying to locate his lineage - place of birth and work record for family records. thanking you for your assistance.
