Seeking information about a family who resided in Marshall County at the time several children were born, from 1891 or so through 1895 or so. Frederick REESER came from Switzerland with his wife Eliza and son Ernest sometime around 1884-1885. Born in Jones County IA were Frederick Jr (1885)and Emma (1886); then born in Marshall County IA, Ida (1888), John Frederick (1891), William John (4 Oct 1893) and Corrine (Oct 1895).

The family is listed on the 1895 Iowa State Census for Marshall County IA.

By 1900, Corrine is listed with a Frank Kinzy & wife, and the other children except for Ernest are in St Louis MO in the German Protestant Orphans Home.

Are there newspapers available for the years 1895 - 1900?

Was there an orphan's home in Marshall County?

Are there naturalization records for Marshall County?

Assume that the mother must have died sometime after the birth of Corrine. The father is missing until 1915 when he returns to St. Louis MO, where he dies.

Any information would be greatly appreciated - not quite sure where to search next!
