Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Giffin, 1009 Fremont Street, and Mr. Giffin’s mother, Mrs. F. A. Giffin, of Central City went to Chicago Friday, called by a telegram announcing the death of the elder Mrs. Giffin’s brother, LuVern Noyes, a wealthy windmill manufacturer of Chicago. Mr. Noyes died Thursday following an illness of several weeks. He was a member of the first class to have graduated from the old Iowa State Agricultural College at Ames, now known as Iowa State College.
