Farmer's Body Found in Hen House.
Because he failed to have a fire burning and a light in the house, Charles Paritridge’s{sic} neighbors feared something might be wrong and investigated. Partridge's body was finally found in the hen house, frozen stiff. The old man lived alone and was one of the best known farmers of Green Mountain.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave indicates he is buried in Green Mountain Cemetery and that he was born April 7, 1832 and died December 30, 1908.
