ROE

Jonas Roe, a well known Norwegian resident of the city, died this morning at his home, 404 South Center street, as the result of a two week illness with heart trouble. Mr. Roe has been suffering more or less for the past ten years with the disease, but has only been bedfast for about two weeks. For a week the end has been expected almost momentarily. Mr. Roe was born near Stavanger, Norway, Sept. 4, 1863. He came to this country when quite young and for many years has been a resident of this city. He leaves a wife, four brothers and one sister. The brothers are Knute Roe, of Radcliffe; Knute Roe of Rose Grove near Ellsworth; Martin Roe of 209 South Sixth avenue; and John Roe of Stavanger, Norway. The sister is Mrs. Knute Scott, of this city. The arrangements for the funeral have not been made as of yet, and it may be possible that the remains will be sent to Roland, where Mrs. Roe's relatives reside, for interment.
