LLOYD FISCUS

LOUISVILLE, Ga. - Mr. Lloyd S. Fiscus, age 102, of W. 8th St., died Thursday, August 16, 2012 at his residence with his wife, Grace D. Fiscus, by his side. Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2012, in the Louisville Associate Reform Presbyterian Church with Dr. Lewis Bird officiating. A native of Maron [sic], Iowa, Mr. Fiscus was the son of the late Elva and Laura Fiscus. He was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, retired after many years of service as a sales executive with W.R. Grace Company and was a member of De Bary First Presbyterian Church where he was an elder for 36 years. He attended Louisville Associated Reform Presbyterian Church for the past 6 years. He was an active church member all his adult life. He was a trusted elder chosen to lead financially in the building programs at the Bethlehem Church in Randolph, NJ and also at the Presbyterian Church in Florida. Mr. Fiscus was also a member of the Rotary Club and Gideon's International. He was an avid golfer and baseball fan. He played baseball in his younger years and played golf until he was 92. Mr. Fiscus was an inspiration to everyone he met throughout his long life. Mr. Fiscus was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Neva Sloan Fiscus, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, son-in- law, step daughter, and step-grandson. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Grace D. Fiscus of Louisville, son James H. Fiscus and Suzanne, daughters Nancy Orlando and John, Carol Ann Bird and Lewis and Judy McCrea, step-daughters Carolee Erwin and Hayward and Paula Stickle and George, step-son David Meadows and Vicki, 24 grand children, 46 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. He was honored and respected by his family and friends and will be remembered for his positive attitude, love for his God and family and hours of interesting stories. The family thanks his many caregivers for their loving care and devotion during his final illness. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Gideon International at P.O. Box 403510, Atlanta, Georgia, 30384-3810 or your choice of interest. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
