DIANA SMITH DIES IN CITY HOSPITAL

Diana Lucille Smith, seven-year-old [sic - seven-week-old] daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith of route 1, Clemons, died at Evangelical Deaconess hospital at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday where she had been a patient since Tuesday afternoon. Diana was born in Marshalltown Nov. 28, 1949. Surviving besides her parents are a brother and a sister, Viola Jean and Danny Edward, at home, her paternal grandfather, Russell Smith of Marshalltown, and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hauser of Albion. A prayer service will be held at the Estel funeral home at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in the Albion cemetery.
