SUDDEN DEATH

Brief Sickness of Roy Armstrong Terminates Fatally

Following a short illness due primarily to acute indigestion complicated with pneumonia, Leroy Harold Armstrong, better known as "Roy," son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Armstrong, died suddenly Saturday evening at 7:15 o'clock, at his home southwest of town. Many people did not even know that he had been ailing, much less dangerously sick, so swift was the progress of the illness which overtook him. But such is life. Roy was universally loved and respected by everybody within the circle of his acquaintance. Born in Marshalltown July 7, 1890, he was not yet 22 years of age. He leaves besides his wife, whom as Miss Nina Emley he married March 10, 1910, both his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Armstrong, residents of LeGrand; also three brothers and one sister. They are Geo. C. Armstrong, of Cincinnati, O.; Wm. K. Armstrong, of Helena, Mont.; R. E. Armstrong, of Baltimore, Md.; and Mrs. Guy W. Harvey, of Marion township. The funeral was held from the Friends church in LeGrand at 2 o'clock, Thursday, conducted by Rev. A. J. Hanson. Burial was in Riverside cemetery, Marshalltown.
